California is a wonderful state revered for many reasons; having reasonable firearms laws are never mentioned among them. Regulations and restrictions on the sale, possession, and use of firearms and ammunition in California are only the tip of the iceberg. There are restrictions on how and where you are allowed to carry, or even transport a firearm. In addition, certain firearms are banned by name, or because they possess certain harmless characteristics.
The popular opinion among American firearm owners is that many of the firearms laws in California are unconstitutional. The California Flag RKBA Infringed T-Shirt represents the loss of freedom. A freedom supposed to be protected by the Constitution through the Second Amendment:
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
Removing the arms of the bear on the state flag of California not only
illustrates a great play on words with the text of the Second Amendment, but also punctuates how vulnerable the bear becomes when it is left without it’s primary means of protection, metaphorically disarmed.
